FilmDreams Members

While anyone can visit the site, only people who have become a member in one form or another will be given an opportunity to provide input and have that input seriously considered.

The likelihood is that there will be levels of membership and that the nature of those levels and the contributions of those members will become clearer in time.  Initially however, the expectation is that there will be three types of members:

Level Contribution Description
1
Free
People who are willing to leave some personal information so that they may be contacted in the future about goings-on at the site and over time may develop an interest in contributing $ in the future.  Regardless, at this level members may gain access to the script database and other voting or contribution oriented sections of the site
2
$50
As with a Level #1 member, this member can contribute his ideas about how things should be done.  However, this individual's vote will be given more weight and there will be no restrictions placed on access to the site.  Really, only the detailed financial information will be restricted from casual viewers.
3
$1000+
This level buys you nothing on the site.  It bypasses the site and allows individuals to REALLY contribute to the venture and to take a much more hands-on role if they see fit.  This for people who always wanted to take part in the guts of film development but are not in a position to produce their own film from the ground up.

We have no idea how well this will be received by the internet community at large, but we are about to find out.

NOTE:  While our goal is to be successful at what we do, we have conservatively stated goals.  In short, the goal is to complete a film and see it shown in one or more film festivals.  Additional goals may be to have the film remade by a larger studio, to have a limited run somewhere (even art houses), or where ever fate and fortune might see fit to take us.  The probability any of the later goals are achieved is lower than the basic goals of completing the film and showing it.  If ultimately profits are realized, some percent of the after-tax profits (likely 35%) will be made available to Level #2 and Level #3 members.  This will be done pro-rata by dollar contribution.  Hence the need to have a formal accounting firm involved in our operations.  But that we should ever turn a profit is certainly not guaranteed nor even expected.  It is only a remote possibility in this difficult industry.  But hope is good!
